Imagine you’re planning a road trip to your favorite get-away. When preparing for your trip, you probably reference a map on your phone, tablet, or computer. What does that map do for you? It tells you where you are, identifies your target destination, and the path you can take to get there. The map also provides alternate routes in case you have a detour along the way!
Planning your next big work project also requires a road map for successfully implementing new changes. Where do you start? How do you respond to bumps in the road? Detours can often determine success or failure. Do you jump straight to a solution on a project, skipping critical steps and requirements? Will you be able to retrace your steps without traveling all the way back from where you started if you get stuck? A road map will steer you back in the right direction and keep you on course for the final destination.
Mary Beth Weaver and Ann Snyder will guide us on creating a smoother trip for Records Management and Information Governance Compliance. We will learn about the Information Governance Implementation Model (IGIM), the Principles Maturity Levels, and how to benchmark your organization – where you are, where you want to be, and how the trip along the way can be improved by managing change.
The seminar will wrap up with an open discussion about change and how to leverage what we’ve learned over the past year or so. (Hint, hint – we started planning this seminar back in 2019, and are finally delivering on our third try in 2021!)
Once you are registered, you will be entered into a drawing for a free year’s membership to ARMA International and to the ARMA Triangle Chapter. (You may choose to opt out if you do not require membership financial assistance.) We hope to see you at the spring seminar. Don’t forget the car snacks!
Registration is just $10!
