Sue Purgason - Program

Sue Purgason is Records Management Analyst at LORD Corporation. LORD is a worldwide leader in adhesives and coatings, vibration and motion control, and magnetically responsive technologies.
Sue has been employed by LORD since 1991 in various information-related positions in Computer Support, Library, Archive Services and IT. Since 2007, she has worked on a cross-functional team with Legal, IT and various business units to establish the LORD records management program.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Sue moved to North Carolina in 1988. She holds a B.S from Millersville University of PA and a M.S. in Information Science from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is currently a CRM candidate.
Sue lives in Pittsboro with her husband Chuck and two dogs, Maggie and Murphy.


Theresa Wall - Secretary

Theresa Wall is a Program Manager with Iron Mountain, Inc. (www.ironmountain.com) and has worked in the Records Management industry for fifteen years.  As Program Manager she is responsible for management of the records management program for the customer. She oversees and maintains records retention schedules, monitors policies, procedures and legislation, provides training and coordinates and facilitates customer meetings. Prior to joining Iron Mountain Theresa was a Records Analyst for American Express responsible for compliance of the records management policy, communicating and training business units on records management standards and best practices, and enforcing records management policy and procedures. Theresa has been an active member of ARMA for 14 years.

Debra Ferris - Membership

Debra Ferris is an Account Executive for DataChambers Records Management (www.datachambers.com<http://www.datachambers.com/>).  She has worked with DataChambers since May, 2010. She began her career with the American Cancer Society, promoting service and education, as well as coordinating fund-raising efforts for seven counties in South Carolina. Her journey continued with American Greetings, Inc.. After several successful years managing accounts in South Carolina, she was promoted to Communication Consultant for the entire sales force at the American Greetings home office in Cleveland OH. After a while though, North Carolina was calling her home, and Debra continued her career in Sales/Account Management with Triad Guaranty Insurance Corporation.
Many years and three children later, Debra made it to the fantastic home of DataChambers Records Management.
Debra is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, and enjoys spending time outdoors, either running or playing with her children.  She and her family live in Raleigh.


Amy Gupton - Public Relations

Amy Gupton is currently employed as Records Supervisor at PPD, Inc. (http://www.ppdi.com), a Contract Research Organization that provides clinical trial solutions for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.  Amy has gained over 20 years of records management experience from positions held at Closure Medical Corporation, Purdue Pharmaceuticals, GlaxoSmithKline and Sprint.

Amy graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, NC with a BS in Computer Information Systems and a BS in Business Administration.  Amy also obtained an MBA in Management from Strayer University in 2005.

Although this is Amy's first year serving as a Board member, she has been an active member of ARMA since 2008 .  Amy currently lives in Rolesville with her family and is formerly from Bristol, Tennessee.


Bruce Pfannenstiel - Website

Bruce Pfannenstiel is the Associate Director of Global Records for PPD, Inc., a Contract Research Organization that provides clinical trial solutions for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. Bruce has been with PPD since 2008, has over 10 years of experience in records management, and is responsible for the deployment of PPD’s Global Records program.

Bruce has been a member of ARMA since 2005, has served on the chapter board since 2008, and was the Triangle Chapter Member of the year in 2010. Bruce was also named as an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Champion by Open Text Corporation in 2009.
